Extraordinary St. Renaissance Ice Service in Silver and Vermeil, consisting of two large serving pieces presented in their original-shaped case lined with green velvet and beige silk. The set is richly decorated and chased with rocaille motifs, leafy branches, and fruit. The handles feature a design of falling petals, fleurons, and vases with fruit. The serving spoons are monogrammed within a cartouche. Spectacular relief mascarons adorn the fasteners as well as the backs of the serving spoons.
Minerva 1st Title (.950) hallmarks and the hallmarks of Master Goldsmith Henri SOUFFLOT, awarded in 1884.
Set in good condition, complete, and presented in its original case; shows minor scratches from normal use. Absolutely beautiful....
