A charming little Renaissance-style oak chest.
The front and both sides are richly carved.
It features two wrought-iron handles on the sides, making it easy to move.
It has its original lock and keyhole; a key was provided for decorative purposes but does not work in the lock.
This chest was remodeled and restored during the 19th century; most of the decorative elements date from the 17th century, while the top and the lower molding were redone in the 19th century.
This piece is extremely easy to place in any interior due to its compact size.
