Late 18th Century Cylinder Desk With Beautiful Patina, France, Circa 1800
An elegant late 18th-century cylinder desk with straight sides, featuring a semi-circular roll-top flap in the upper section and two drawers below. The piece stands on tapered angular legs and is richly veneered in walnut with beautifully figured grain and fine inlay work.
A particularly rare feature is the central locking mechanism, which simultaneously secures both drawers and the roll-top flap.
The interior writing surface is lined with black leather.

The surface has been finished with shellac and wax.
