Engraved brass single-latitude sundial mounted on an ebony base.
The dial bears a simple "B" mark, standing for David Beringer.
The folding gnomon is designed for a latitude of 49 or 50 degrees, corresponding to southern Germany, the Rhineland, and Bavaria, as well as parts of Belgium and northern France.
The dial is beautifully engraved and divided into 4-12 and 1-8.
In good condition and in good working order.
The dial measures 5.9 x 5.9 x 4 cm.
