Coffret à bijoux du XIXe siècle, réalisé sous le règne de Napoléon III, vers 1850-1870. Ce coffret est fabriqué à partir de différentes essences de bois clair et plaqué de bois noirci (poirier noirci). L'ensemble est richement orné de passepoils en laiton et de marqueterie de racine d'amboine, de nacre gravée, de laiton et de cuivre, représentant divers motifs floraux, végétaux et rocaille, entre autres. De larges moulures côtelées en ébène massif, d'une grande finesse, complètent ce coffret. Par-dessus ces détails raffinés, l'orfèvre a sublimé l'ensemble avec des montures en bronze finement ciselées, conservant 99 % de leur dorure d'origine. L'intérieur est doublé d'un élégant tissu rose, de fil de laiton tressé et de rosettes florales en bronze doré. Un objet aux superbes contrastes de couleurs et à l'éclat soyeux. Un véritable régal pour les yeux et un objet précieux au quotidien ! Feedback sturen 19th-century jewelry box, made during the reign of Napoleon III, circa 1850–1870.This box is crafted from various types of light-colored wood and veneered with blackened wood (blackened pear wood).The piece is richly adorned with brass trim and marquetry featuring amboyna burl, engraved mother-of-pearl, brass, and copper, depicting various floral, botanical, and rocaille motifs, among others. Wide, ribbed moldings of solid ebony, executed with great finesse, complete this box.In addition to these refined details, the silversmith has enhanced the piece with finely chiseled bronze mounts, which retain 99% of their original gilding.The interior is lined with an elegant pink fabric, braided brass thread, and gilded bronze floral rosettes.An object with superb color contrasts and a silky luster. A true feast for the eyes and a precious everyday object!
