Beautiful 18th-century Heraldic Wine Glass, Northern Europe.

Here is a wine glass made by glassblowing, with a clean pontil mark, a flared conical base, bubbles in glass, and a hollow stem with a wide ring; there is a blown bubble on bottom of glass, rim of which is engraved and then gilded of a heraldic emblem featuring two armed lions.
Height: 15 cm, diameter at lip: 6 cm. Weight: 100 g;
in very good condition, with somwear to gilding.
The original glasswork is possibly from Saxony, 18th century.
The gilded engraving may have been made in Holland, either as a commemorative piece or for a special occasion.
This fact is noted inseveral Christie’s auctions.
