- The patina: The work boasts its superb original patina, a very deep brown—almost black—with rich highlights. It features magnificent contrasts of light on the reliefs of the musculature and the drapery.
- The base: The statue rests on its original circular black marble base, enhanced at the bottom by a molded ring of gilded bronze decorated with pearls, ensuring a secure footing and an elegant visual transition.
- Signature: Signed “Drouot” in intaglio on the bronze rock terrace.
