Charles Henri Malfroy (1895–1945) was a French painter; He exhibited regularly in Paris at the Salon des Artistes Français and the Salon desIndépendants until 1934.Adopting a technique similar to Impressionism, he painted the coastlines andports of the Bouches-du-Rhône and Var regions, as well as landscapes of Paris and thebanks of the Seine.
His work was part of the painting event in the art competitionat the 1928 Summer Olympics.
A member of the French Resistanceduring World War II, Malfroy was arrested and died at theBuchenwald concentration camp. ] He was posthumously awarded the Order ofLiberation.
