Beautiful Nantes-style Sideboard Made Of Solid Mahogany, 18th-century-style Craftsmanship
A beautiful Nantes-style sideboard in solid mahogany from the Louis XV period. It features three beautifully molded doors on the front and rests on two snail-shaped legs at the front and two straight legs at the back. It is topped by an original solid mahogany top in very good condition. The side panels feature beautiful chapel-style molding. The doors are fitted with original bronze hinges. They also feature gilded bronze keyholes, which are also original. Original locks. There are attractive traces of hand-sawing on the underside of the top, visible from inside the cabinet. The interior features original shelves and drawers. A very fine example of 18th-century cabinetry.
