A magnificent XIXth century Louis XV style oak two-part glazed cabinet, featuring four doors and two serpentine-fronted drawers. The piece is crowned by an imposing carved pediment centered on a splendid openwork cartouche, composed of an asymmetrical shell motif and scrolling foliage. The two glazed doors—opening to reveal four shelves—are framed by uprights and rails that are entirely shaped and carved. Motifs of scrolling foliage, rocaille clasps, and delicate floral garlands appear to climb along the glass panes, creating an effect of lightness despite the density of the wood. The central rail incorporates two drawers fitted with chased gilt-bronze handles shaped like swirling foliage. The lower section features two solid doors opening onto two shelves, with the entire unit resting on four legs.
