Templar Ring In Silver And Gold, With Distinctive Solomon's Knot And Engraved Carnelian Seal
Artist: Siciliano
Esoteric Templar ring, with the intertwined Solomon's Knot (one of the distinctive symbols of the Holy Order of the Knights Templar) surrounding both the shank and the central structure. On the front, an oval carnelian is set within a gold bezel with a cross, at the ends of which are engraved the initials of the Grand Master and the Knight who owns the ring (P-O/E-I). Several rings and medallions feature the cross with intertwined initials. This is interpreted as a strong symbol of Templar brotherhood in the common defense of the Holy Cross. On the back of the ring, in the central bezel, a stylized and radiant alveolar sun represents the light of Christ's salvation. Sicily, 12th-13th century
