Manufacture Feuillet - Gilt Porcelain Coffee Cup - Circa 1820 - Signed
The signature “Feuillet à Paris” refers to Jean-Pierre Feuillet, one of the most renowned decorators in Paris between 1810 and 1840.Feuillet was not a porcelain manufacturer; he was a decorator who worked on unglazed pieces sourced from:
Dihl & Guérhard, Locré, Schoelcher, occasionally Sèvres (purchased unglazed), and other Parisian manufacturers.
During the Restoration, Feuillet was considered one of the finest gilders in Paris, on par with Boyer, Nast, and Dagoty.A very beautiful collector’s piece, it is in perfect condition; no wear to the gilding.
