Set Of Four Chairs Attributed To André Sornay – Lyon – Circa 1960

A rare set of four chairs attributed to the Lyon-based designer and cabinetmaker André Sornay (1902–2000), a leading figure in postwar French modernist furniture.

Crafted from solid pine, these chairs captivate with their deliberately understated and architectural design. Their construction highlights the straight lines, cubic forms, and joinery characteristic of Sornay’s work, which was intended for both private interiors and public spaces.
