Painting on panel depicting two farmwomen returning to the farm at sunset. Signed by Léon Dupuy, the pseudonym of the painter Eugène Galien Laloue, born in Montmartre on December 11, 1854, and died on April 12, 1941, in Chérence. His work focuses on village landscapes in the Île-de-France countryside; in 1874, he stayed in Fontainebleau, where he painted sunsets and sunrises, as well as farmyards in Samois-sur-Seine.
