19th-century Porcelain Figurine Set By Bourdois And Bloch
A porcelain group depicting a wheeled sedan chair with a lady in a dress inside and the bearer outside, the whole piece adorned with floral decoration and gilding. This composition reflects the Rococo style of the Second Empire. The underside bears the mark of crossed swords used by the Parisian workshop of M.E. Clauss, who later partnered with Bourdois & Bloch from around 1868 to 1887; the company subsequently continued under the name Porcelaine de Paris.
