The marble tondo depicts a pair of nude figures in an amorous pose, rendered with soft and careful modelling that recalls the tradition of Neoclassical relief. The composition, contained within the circular format, arranges the two figures in a balanced manner, with a barely sketched vegetal element in the background. The quality of the carving and the anatomical rendering of the figures attest to the hand of a sculptor with academic training, active in Italy in the early twentieth century.
