Sculpture
An exceptional white marble sculpture depicting "La Vittoria." A monumental, life-size marble sculpture depicting a family celebrating victory. But beyond the triumph, it is the joy sparked by the reunion with a long-awaited loved one that this masterpiece of early 20th-century Italian sculpture captures. Framed by an open window overlooking an imaginary street, we see the seven jubilant members of an Italian family awaiting the arrival of the victorious soldier.
In the background stands the patriarch, with the emotional mother to his right and his smiling wife, her expression one of tenderness. Leaning on the windowsill, the young children wave a banner and wreaths of flowers in honor of their father, the hero. In the center, the youngest child is swept up in the collective joy. This scene could be linked to the famous victory at Vittorio Veneto in October–November 1918, which led to the armistice that ended the war on the Italian front. Height: 110 cm. Width: 72 cm. Depth: 43 cm.
