A very large painting, oil on canvas. The large double portrait, representing Prince Christian of Denmark with his wife Princess Magdalena Sybille. This portrait here (19th century), is made after the original which dates from 1643 and made by Karel Van Mander (1609-1670). The painting is not signed but there is an inventory stamp on the back which says "Det. Nat.Hist.Mus, Fredericksburg Slot Inv.Nr 2." The painting came from Valdemar Castle in Denmark.
