Daniel, known asDanillo Curetti, a young contemporary artist of Swiss origin, brought a breath of fresh air to the Faïenceries in 1983. He worked there for nearly six years before leaving Longwy in November 1989 to found a pottery studio in Switzerland. His time there left a Art Deco influence; Curetti mastered both design and materials. He worked with fairly large solid color fields and was one of the first leading figures in the contemporary creations of the Emaux de Longwy.
Émaux de Longwy refers to a collection of very high-quality ceramic products, renowned worldwide since 1798 for their unique manufacturing technique and colorful aesthetic.
Located in the Grand Est region of France, the city of Longwy takes pride in this artisanal tradition that dates back to 1798 and continues to this day to embellish everyday objects.
Longwy enamels are the expression of artisanal expertise rooted in tradition, which is constantly evolving. For more than two centuries, these everyday works of art have been a testament to French excellence and creativity in the field of ceramics.
