The planter and the two vases feature delicate, hand-painted reserves on their main faces, depicting 18th-century-style gallant and pastoral scenes.
The reverse sides are adorned with finely executed polychrome floral bouquets. The gilt-bronze mounts are exceptionally refined, featuring female heads atop the handles, openwork Greek key patterns, laurel wreaths, foliate friezes, and architectural feet.
The scenes bear the signature "Mariot Sèvres," a workshop mark found on porcelain decorated in the Sèvres style during the 19th century. The undersides of the vases bear an underglaze blue painted mark.
