Napoleon III Period Gilt Bronze Jewelry Box
The front features an elegant female figure in front of her easel, while the reverse presents a muse in a meditative attitude. On either side take place female profiles inspired by Antiquity.
The domed lid receives an abundant decoration of rinceaux, arabesques and Renaissance motifs, complemented by delicate openwork handles.
The interior is fully lined with deep blue satin upholstery with metal buttons, preserved in very fine presentation condition. The box comes with its antique key.
