Burl And Rosewood Jewelry Box Marquetry Box

Pretty rectangular box in amboyna burl and rosewood. Its slightly domed lid is inlaid in its center with a brass plate framed with floral motifs in lemon tree. It still has its lock and its lovely little key. It opens onto a beautiful interior covered with a fine moiré silk in lavender blue. This is a refined production from the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th century. Dimensions: Length: 16.5 cm Width: 12 cm Height: 8 cm Good condition despite signs of age. The lid has slightly played with time which prevents it from closing. The photo of the lid reveals a mark on the right side; it is in fact a simple reflection of light.
