Pair of Fenghuang (Chinese phoenix) birds in cloisonné bronze with rich polychrome enamel decoration on a turquoise-blue background.
The subjects rest on their original carved wooden bases imitating natural branches. The decoration is composed of stylized clouds, scrolls and motifs inspired by the traditional Chinese repertoire. Late Qing dynasty, circa 1880-1910.
