Set Of Four Delft Earthenware Vases
A set of Delftware consisting of two lidded vases and two horn-shaped vases decorated in shades of blue with a figure set against a landscape background, framed by lambrequins. The lid handles are shaped like animals.
Marked: WVDB in blue. La Fortune workshop, owned by the widow Van Den Briel-Elling.
Second half of the 18th century.
Shows signs of use; chipped glaze. Restoration planned.
Lidded vases: H. 24.5 cm (one has a chip on the neck)
Trumpet-shaped vases: H. 17.5 cm (one has been restored)
