"Louis XIV Console In Gilded Wood"
A rare and exquisite giltwood console table resting on four legs joined by a molded and carved X-shaped stretcher, in the center of which is a bouquet of leaves. The base is richly carved and composed of foliate columns supporting the apron. The apron is decorated with Bérain-style motifs and features a panel on the front and on each side. The central panel is adorned with a woman's mask with braided hair. The console is surmounted by a molded Campan marble top.
Louis XIV period.
Restorations consistent with age and use.
