"Louis XVI Period Writing Table"
It opens with a belt drawer revealing a writing desk and three compartments. The Turquin marble top is surrounded by an openwork brass gallery. Below, cartouches highlighted by a frieze of pearls present scalloped and ribboned floral garlands. The table is supported by four legs in the form of tapered columns and joined by a spacer tablet. They are decorated with twisted olive branches and leafy connecting dice before ending with finely chiseled bronze sabots.
