Two Art Nouveau Uranium Glass Liqueur Glass – Rheinische Glashütten AG Cologne-Ehrenfeld, circa 1900–1905

Rare Art Nouveau liqueur glass attributed to the Rheinische Glashütten-Actien-Gesellschaft of Cologne-Ehrenfeld, one of Germany’s most renowned art glass manufacturers at the turn of the twentieth century.

The bowl is designed as a stylized flower and displays a rich ruby-pink coloration. The green uranium glass stem fluoresces vividly under ultraviolet light. A finely ribbed intermediate disc, reminiscent of a leaf or aquatic plant, enhances the organic and naturalistic design characteristic of the German Jugendstil movement.

This example represents the high artistic standards of Cologne-Ehrenfeld glass production around 1900 and combines elegant floral design with exceptional craftsmanship.
