Vintage 925 Silver Pectoral Cross, Mexico, Mid-20th Century

Elegant vintage pectoral cross made entirely of 925 silver, manufactured in Mexico around the mid-20th century. It is a piece of great visual presence, with a Latin cross structure and a very characteristic decoration formed by six silver flowers applied in relief. Each flower is worked with overlapping and curved petals, creating a very attractive volumetric effect that brings movement, depth and shine to the entire piece.

The design combines a straight and sober base with a very expressive floral ornamentation. The six flowers are distributed in a balanced way: one in the centre, one on each side arm, two on the lower vertical axis and one at the top, just below the bail. This arrangement covers practically the entire front surface and transforms the cross into a devotional piece with a strong ornamental character. At the top it preserves a wide triangular bail for hanging, also made of silver, intended for wearing the cross as a chest piece. This inscription reinforces the Mexican origin of the piece and its material.

The general condition is good, with normal signs of use, light surface marks and patina typical of a vintage silver jewel. The flowers preserve their volume and decorative strength well, and the cross maintains a very attractive image, with that soft and deep shine so typical of well-preserved antique or vintage silver.
