A miniature Zsolnay eosin-glazed vase in the form of a small jug or pilgrim flask, produced by the celebrated Zsolnay factory in Pécs, Hungary, circa 1900.
The spherical body is richly decorated with stylized floral and spiral motifs arranged in ornamental medallions. The famous eosin glaze displays shimmering iridescent tones ranging from purple and green to bronze and gold, creating a constantly changing visual effect.
Combining traditional vessel forms with innovative Art Nouveau decoration, this charming object represents the artistic peak of the Zsolnay manufactory. Eosin wares from this period are among the most sought-after examples of Central European Art Nouveau ceramics.
