The "Cansado" bench, designed by Charlotte Perriand, is a true collector's item. Created for the company "MIFERMA," it was used to furnish the apartments of the company's executives.Its decidedly modern design makes it a must-have piece that fits easily into any interior. The frame and legs are made of black-lacquered steel, topped with 13 mahogany slats.The cushions are covered in an anthracite wool fabric by Nobilis. Other fabrics are available upon request.Provenance: Executive housing in the mining town of Cansado, Mauritania, built in the 1960s by the Mauritanian Iron Mining Company “MIFERMA” to house its staff.
