Khorjins are pouches once used by the nomadic peoples of Persia. They are often double pouches. This object can therefore be considered a fragment, the front of a single pouch.
What immediately catches the eye is both the extreme fineness of the weaving and the beauty of the vegetable dyes. The indigo blues are stunning.
The patterns are perfectly executed, and the overall effect is refined.
The narrative vocabulary and composition are characteristic of Persian Baluchi works. The central field, divided into diamond shapes, reveals stylized cross-shaped motifs; it is framed by a first fine border featuring dragons...
