Pair Of Antique Glasses With An Embedded Coin
A pair of blown glass goblets, each featuring a stem adorned with a hollow spherical knot that encloses an authentic coin, embedded in the glass during the manufacturing process.The coins are British specimens bearing the effigy of George V (1910–1936).
These two glasses were likely made between 1930 and 1950, a period when the inclusion of objects within glass was a very popular decorative practice.
Condition: one of the two glasses has a small chip on the rim (as visible in the last photo); otherwise, it is in excellent condition.
