Louis DAREY was born in Paris in 1863. He died in Royan in 1914. Animal and landscape painter active in the late 19th century. Pupil of Emile Van Marke. A member of the Salon des Artistes Français since 1885, he exhibited there regularly. The Musée de Saintes conserves a painting by him entitled "Troupeau de brebis". Louis Darey is featured in "Bénézit". With its wood and gilded stucco frame, the painting measures 31.5 cm x 25.5 cm.
