A native of the Cher region and trained as an architect, Jean Huguet (1934-2002) turned to painting at an early age.
In the 60s, he lived in the village of La Borne, now world-famous for its potters and ceramists, and which in the 50s made a major contribution to the revival of this practice by infusing it with an artistic and contemporary vein.
Jean HUGUET frequented the studio with Jean LINARD, Jacqueline and Jean LERAT and Elisabeth JOULIA ....
This work from the sale of his studio, with its distinctive mixed technique of trowel glazing, perfectly illustrates the influence of ceramics on his pictorial work.
