Mid-twentieth-century floor lamp by Jansen. Resting on an arched tripod base in gilded bronze with gold leaf, the tubular shaft is composed of polished metal tubes intersected by eight gilded bronze rings chased with florets. Its height can be adjusted by means of a clamping screw. Functional electrification complies with current standards, and lighting is provided by a diffuser horn in gilded brass on the outside (white on the inside). A removable pagoda-shaped shade is fitted over the diffuser. This high-quality lampshade is made of double-thickness silk and embellished with embroidered trimmings in shades of blue.
