Transition Showcase In Marquetry And Gilded Bronzes
Low display window in rosé and violet wood marquetry enhanced with gilded bronzes, Transition style from the 19th century. Resting on four arched inlaid legs ending in chiseled bronze sabots. The display case with three glazed sides has a back made of ice reflecting the objects presented, the internal tray as well as the upper tray are inlaid with "butterfly wings" friezes. This display case is decorated with finely chiseled gilded bronze at the level of the bulges of the base and falling on the uprights under the top. The bronzes are signed HP by the bronze maker Henri Picard.
