Gilded Bronze Bowl-shaped Incense Burner

Unique gold-plated bronze incense burner, consisting of three parts:
—a small bowl-shaped container decorated with floral garlands, with a tripod base connected to the burner’s receptacle. Equipped with a handle for easy handling when moving it from one room to another.
- a perforated lid that acts as a scent diffuser. It features a spherical knob.
- an alcohol burner with a handle shaped like a bouquet of flowers
The 18th century was the golden age of seduction. Delicate, floral fragrances filled boudoirs and alcoves, places conducive to coquetry. Room fragrances could be diffused through fumigation or evaporation. For this perfume burner, scented water poured into the container was subtly vaporized over a low-heat burner.
