She was a member of the Artistes Français, and also exhibited at the Salon des Tuilleries.
This oil on canvas was also exhibited in a salon, and bears 2 stamps on the stretcher with the date 1932, but the name of the salon cannot be identified.

This oil on canvas, signed lower left, depicts a Fô dog in pretty shades of blue, an object representative of China and the Buddhist cult.
It is presented in a rich interior with wood-panelled walls.
Louise CHIMOT lived in Barcelona and executed several still lifes and portraits full of originality and charm.
This painting is in its original condition, with a few varnish runs on the bottom and a small crack in the central bar of the frame.
