- Talented painter of the Liège school, he documented through his canvases the culture, mores and folklore of the region his paintings were exhibited in several artistic circles of the province, such as the Cercle Artistique et Littéraire de Gand, He was part of the group of painters from the Liège basin (alongside Richard Heintz or Albert Sirtaine) who shared the same style for painting the nature and landscapes of the Ardennes at the turn of the 20th century.
