Subject: This is a large and magnificent work by Antal Neogrady, likely created in Budapest for an exhibition around 1904 - 1908. In this composition depicting a winter stroll, the style is very elegant and refined; the atmosphere is both icy and warm, almost reminiscent of a French painter like Jean Beraud. It is a work of high-quality execution. He is a Hungarian painter who is becoming increasingly sought after (I criticize him for his minor works but admire him for his major ones).
