Montières - Large Art Nouveau Ceramic Vase In The Shape Of A Coloquinte, Signed
Large iridescent ceramic vase in the shape of a coloquinte. Floral design with beautiful metallic highlights. 3 small handles on the top complete this object. It is part of the Art Nouveau movement. The signature "Montières" is inscribed in the decoration on the bottom of the piece. It measures 36cm high. The diameter of the base is 13.5cm and that of the top 11.5cm. At its widest, the diameter is +/- 25cm. The Montières factory in Amiens (Somme) was world-renowned, but only lasted 20 years.
