Polished wood, brass, and blue enamel perfume box, stamped "Théodore Année, 18 Rue Chapon, Paris," late 19th century. It contains two glass perfume bottles with gilded tops. They measure 4.5 cm by 8.5 cm in height.
Box dimensions: H 11 cm x L 13.5 cm x W 11 cm.
This cabinetmaker from the second half of the 19th century specialized in toiletries sets, small boxes, liquor cabinets, and small furniture. He presented numerous creations at the 1844 French Industrial Exhibition, for which he was awarded a bronze medal. He excelled in inlays of brass, copper, and tortoiseshell.
He took over the Chabert firm on Rue Chapon in 1856.
