Daum. Small Acid-etched Saler, Late 19th Century

A small acid-etched satin glass salt cellar, decorated with a winter landscape in grisaille. The Daum Nancy signature, including the Cross of Lorraine, is inscribed in gold on the underside. It is in good condition. It measures 2.5 cm in height and 3.4 cm across the handles; the base diameter is 4 cm. It dates from the late 19th century, specifically the 1890s—a period when salt cellars, egg cups, and other small functional decorative items were widely produced.
