Beehive-form Chrysoprase Opaline Rouge Pot, In The Manner Of Portieux
A rare beehive-shaped powder jar with a chrysoprase-green opaline lid, featuring a cylindrical body entirely moulded in relief with an interlocking scale motif simulating the weaving of a beehive, resting on a twisted moulded base. The removable conical lid features the same stepped scale decoration with a multi-lobed border, topped by a gadrooned baluster frieze.
