Daum Autumn Landscape With Crows Fecit 1895
Important exhibition-quality vase in amber acid-etched glass with a heat-formed, gold-highlighted rim.
Continuous landscape of autumn branches and foliage, acid-etched and enhanced with polychrome enamels. The forest and crows are entirely hand-painted in black ink using the highly prestigious grisaille enameling technique.
An extremely rare, prestigious Art Nouveau signature: "Daum Nancy, Fecit 1895" engraved at the base. This specific marking denotes a masterpiece created for a major exhibition or a premier artist proof, significantly superior to later commercial productions.
