19th Century 1st Empire Napoleon Emerald And Fine Pearls On Yellow Gold Multirank Bracelet

Multi-row supple bracelet in 750/°° yellow gold (18 KT, hibou hallmark), dating from the 19th century, First Empire Napoleon I period, composed of eight rows of particularly supple, flowing Venetian mesh chains, offering a second-skin feel when worn.

The rectangular central motif is soberly adorned with an emerald-cut emerald in a closed setting, shouldered by two fine pearls, while a surround of fine pearls in the delicate, slightly bluish hues characteristic of this material frames the composition with refinement.

The finely textured background subtly catches the light and highlights extensive chasing work with acanthus leaf motifs and plant scrolls, characteristic of the neo-classical ornamental vocabulary favored under the First Empire.

The ensemble presents a particularly harmonious contrast between the architectural rigor of the central motif, typical of the Empire aesthetic, and the suppleness of the multiple rows of Venetian links, giving the bracelet a great deal of movement and elegance when worn.

The bracelet is equipped with an invisible ratchet clasp integrated under the Venetian link chains, allowing discreet and secure closure. It is completed by a safety chain also made in Venetian mesh, a particularly high-quality finishing detail that is consistent with the jewel as a whole.

With its balance between geometric sobriety, ornamental richness and finesse of execution, this bracelet fully illustrates the refinement of First Empire jewelry, inspired by Antiquity and Napoleonic imperial taste.

A rare, precious and particularly decorative antique jewel in very fine condition.
