Pair of Belle Époque-era hoop earrings, circa 1900, crafted in 750/°° yellow gold (18 KT, eagle-head hallmark) and 925/°° silver.

The upper portion of each earring features a delicate silver foliage motif set with rose-cut diamonds, extending into a movable circular disc. This disc is framed by a yellow gold border and adorned with a radiating silver motif entirely set with rose-cut diamonds, surrounding a central diamond.

The combination of yellow gold and silver is characteristic of jewelry from this period: the silver, used in close proximity to the diamonds, enhances their brilliance, while the yellow gold defines and warms the setting. The openwork design of the discs further contributes to the overall delicacy of the piece.
