An interesting antique painting depicting Saint Apollonia by Carlo Dolci, oil on canvas, in perfect condition. Commissioned by the noble “CORSINI” family from this mysterious and talented painter (whom we are currently studying), likely an apprentice in the workshop of the great painter “CARLO DOLCI,” bearing an archive number and wax seal with the coat of arms of the noble Roman family “Corsini,” commissioned by the family of the same name, where the masterpiece is displayed and preserved in the Corsini Gallery within the noble Palazzo Corsini. With an inventory number in 18th-century cursive, on a coarse-weave raw canvas and a contemporary 18th-century frame, with a simple gilded frame from the early 1800s.
