Crafted from cast and chiseled silver, rectangular in shape, depicting the Holy Family with saints; on the left side of the scene is Saint Anne dressed as an imperial lady, depicted in the act of embracing and kissing the Infant Jesus held in the arms of the Virgin Mary, who is kneeling; on the right are Saint John holding a lamb and, behind him, Saint Elizabeth and Saint Joachim.
Hallmarked with the Vatican State’s chamber marks featuring the umbrella and double keys for silver of 10 ounces and 16 denarii (889/1000) Master Silversmith “Vincenzo Contini” ca. 1788
