Circa 1910
Terracotta

Signed: A Léonard
Terracotta sketch formed of three heads: a young woman with a bun (right), a bald old man with a long beard (centre and an old faun (left). A mysterious, symbolist and unusual subject (although Rodin and Bourdelle also experimented with three-headed groups) that remains unidentified. However, the bearded man in the centre looks like an artist or poet flanked by his muse and a faun. This enigmatic work by Léonard is previously unknown.
